Privacy policy

How 123-Gas handles the information you send through this website.

This policy covers 123-Gas Edinburgh and the website at 123-gas.co.uk. We only collect what we need to answer your enquiry and carry out the work, and we do not sell or share it for marketing.

What the forms collect

When you send an enquiry through this website we ask for your name, email address, phone number and postcode, the service you need and when you need it, and any notes you choose to add. The form also records which page you sent it from, so we know what you were reading when you got in touch.

Everything on the form is used to reply to you, quote the work and book a visit. The postcode tells us whether the job is inside our service area before we call you back.

Who sees it

Enquiries are emailed to us at contact@123-gas.co.uk and read by the people who quote and carry out the work. We do not sell your details, pass them to lead-generation companies, or share them with third parties for their own marketing.

Two suppliers handle your enquiry on the way to us: Cloudflare, which hosts this website and provides the anti-spam check on the form, and Resend, which delivers the enquiry email. Both process the data on our instructions only. If a job needs a part ordered or a manufacturer warranty registered, we pass on what that specific supplier needs and nothing more.

How long we keep it

We keep enquiry emails while we are dealing with your enquiry, and we keep records of work we have carried out so we can service or repair the same appliance later, honour a guarantee, and meet our Gas Safe and tax record-keeping obligations. Enquiries that do not turn into work are not kept indefinitely.

Cookies and spam protection

This website does not set advertising or analytics cookies. The enquiry form is protected by Cloudflare Turnstile, which checks that a form was sent by a person rather than a bot; it stores only what it needs for that check and is not used to track you across other websites.

Your rights

You can ask us what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email contact@123-gas.co.uk or call 0131 258 9862 and we will deal with it. If you are not happy with how we have handled your information you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.

Changes

If we change how the forms or this website handle your information, we will update this page.
